Founding Software Engineer – Infrastructure & AI Agents📍 San Francisco, CA (On-site 6 days/week) 🚫 No Visa Sponsorship | No Relocation Assistance About Building autonomous AI agents. The RoleHiring three Founding Software Engineers to help architect and scale the infrastructure powering autonomous AI agents for the hospitality industry. This is a true 0→1 engineering role for someone who thrives in fast-moving startup environments and wants direct ownership over product, infrastructure, and technical direction from the earliest stages. You'll work directly with the founding team to build scalable AI systems, infrastructure pipelines, and agent orchestration frameworks that support real-time decision-making across thousands of guest interactions. What You'll Work On • Build and scale core infrastructure for autonomous AI agents • Develop AI-powered systems capable of handling complex operational workflows • Architect backend systems and data aggregation pipelines • Build products from 0→1 and iterate rapidly alongside the founding team • Optimize infrastructure reliability, scalability, and deployment systems • Work with modern AI coding workflows and tools (Claude Code, AI-assisted development, agent frameworks) • Design systems that integrate with hotel operational software in real time • Help shape technical strategy, product direction, and engineering culture Ideal Background • Strong backend or infrastructure engineering experience • Experience scaling systems in startup or high-growth environments • Proficiency in Python preferred (language flexibility if fundamentals are strong) • Experience with AI/ML systems, AI agents, LLM infrastructure, or data-intensive applications • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and deployment pipelines • Strong ownership mentality and ability to operate autonomously • Interest in building from scratch in a fast-paced founder-led environment Nice to Have • Experience building coding tools, developer infrastructure, or AI workflows • Prior work on data aggregation systems or AI orchestration layers • Startup founding engineer experience • Hospitality or travel-tech experience Work Environment • Full-time onsite in San Francisco • High-intensity startup environment (6 days/week onsite) • Fast execution culture with significant ownership and autonomy Interview Process • Intro / Founder Conversation • Technical Take-Home • Two-Day Paid Work Trial with the Team
