Description:
The AWS Developer / Administrator will provide technical expertise for the design, development, deployment, administration, and support of Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments. This role works closely with cloud engineering, application development, security, and operations teams to deliver secure, resilient, and scalable cloud solutions.
The candidate will support AWS infrastructure, application services, integrations, and automation efforts, while ensuring operational stability, performance, and compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
Major responsibilities of this position include the following:
Design, deploy, and administer AWS environments following best practicesSupport AWS account structure, IAM roles, policies, and least-privilege accessDevelop and maintain solutions using AWS services including (but not limited to):Amazon EC2, Auto Scaling, and Elastic Load BalancingAmazon VPC, subnets, routing, and security controlsAmazon S3, EBS, EFS, and data lifecycle policiesAWS Lambda, API Gateway, and serverless architecturesAmazon CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and AWS ConfigDevelop and support Amazon Connect contact center environments, including: Contact flows, queues, routing profiles, and promptsIntegrations with AWS Lambda, APIs, and external systemsCall recording, analytics, and troubleshootingDesign and integrate AI-enabled solutions using Amazon Bedrock where applicableImplement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using CloudFormation, Terraform, or equivalent toolsMonitor system performance, availability, and cost optimization opportunitiesTroubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issuesSupport CI/CD pipelines and automation workflowsCollaborate with security teams to implement encryption, logging, monitoring, and compliance controlsMaintain documentation, runbooks, and architectural diagramsProvide knowledge transfer and mentoring to team membersParticipate in scheduled maintenance, upgrades, and after-hours support as required
REQUIRED SKILLS In order of importance:6+ years of overall IT experience supporting enterprise systems3+ years of hands-on AWS experience in development and/or administration3+ years of experience with AWS core services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, and Lambda)3+ years of experience with Amazon Connect and/or contact center technologies3+ years of experience integrating APIs, serverless functions, and cloud-native services3+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation3+ years of experience with security best practices, logging, and monitoring in AWS3+ years of scripting experience (Python, Bash, or equivalent)
