About the team and the role: We're reinventing vehicle purchasing on ****. Help drive a zero-to-one product initiative creating the future of vehicles. With our recent partnership with ******, client is evolving from a classified listing site into a full-service automotive marketplace. We are now assisting customers with complex, high-trust flows, including DMV paperwork, insurance, financing, and delivery.
As a Senior Content Designer, you see language as a primary design material. You'll lead the narrative strategy for these high-stakes journeys, ensuring that "buying a car on the internet" feels human, secure, and seamless. We're looking for a full-stack practitioner who enjoys working with cross-discipline partners to co-create strategies, iterate through all stages of fidelity, and define outcomes in ambiguous spaces.
This role focuses on hands-on content design, systems thinking, and cross-functional collaboration to simplify the complex world of automotive transactions. You will be challenged to balance clarity with brand voice, using language to guide users through one of the most significant purchases of their lives.
What you will accomplish:
• Lead content strategy: Drive the end-to-end content execution for a specific vehicles workstream, from initial concept to polished product strings, balancing customer needs with legal and technical requirements.
• Design with language: Treat content as a functional design element. Partner with product designers to co-create wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes with content hierarchy baked in.
• Simplify complexity: Distill intricate processes (like title transfers and financing) into clear, actionable, and human-centered content that builds user confidence.
• Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner closely with product, engineering, research, and legal to refine hypotheses and deliver solutions that connect business strategy to user execution.
• Champion craft: Maintain and evolve content standards, ensuring a cohesive voice and tone across native and web platforms while advocating for accessibility and inclusivity.
• Tell the story: Articulate the "why" behind your content decisions through clear storytelling, connecting narrative choices to measurable business outcomes and the broader product vision.
What you will bring:
• 5+ years of professional experience in content-focused roles, with at least 3 years specifically in in-product content design or UX writing. Experience in ecommerce or fintech/regulated industries is a major plus.
• A portfolio demonstrating the ability to manage complex information architecture and create cohesive end-to-end product narratives.
• Deep familiarity with Figma and prototyping tools; you should be comfortable working directly in design files alongside your UX/UI peers. Experience with vibe coding tools is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate insights from research and data into content iterations, working seamlessly within a cross-functional squad.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in English, journalism, communications, HCI, or a related field.
