The team's mission is to accelerate product success and innovation by enabling high-quality, efficient research insights. In this role, you will support tools used by UX Researchers, Data Scientists, and Product teams to make data-driven decisions and improve product experiences.This position is a contract opportunity covering a senior designer on parental leave and offers the chance to lead design initiatives across several high-impact products. You will work on AI-powered research tools, executive-facing business applications, and emerging product experiences while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Engineering, Research, and Content Design.Key ProjectsResearch Lab • AI-native research insights tool currently in alpha • Gather UX feedback and iterate designs • Drive the product toward production readinessBudget Management • Executive-facing survey budget management tool • Partner with engineering to iterate and drive product launchCompetitive Intelligence • Support a new product initiative from concept through executionViewpoints App • Consumer-facing application designed to capture insights from users around the worldResponsibilities • Design and iterate on research tools across multiple concurrent workstreams • Partner closely with Engineering, Product Management, and Content Design teams • Drive design execution from concept through delivery • Navigate the intersection of research operations, AI, compliance, and user experience • Collaborate with teams across Experimentation Platform, Metrics Platform, and AI for Data Analytics • Translate ambiguous problems into clear, user-centered solutions • Collect user feedback and continuously improve experiencesRequired Qualifications • 5–7+ years of Product Design experience • Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design work (required with submission) • Experience working with AI tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, Vibe Coding, or similar AI-assisted workflows • Strong product thinking and problem-solving abilities • Ability to independently take projects from ambiguity to well-reasoned design solutions • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills • Experience working closely with Product Managers and EngineersPreferred Qualifications • Experience designing data platforms, analytics tools, research tools, or compliance workflows • Strong Figma skills • Systems thinking and ability to design scalable workflows • Experience working in fast-paced environments with evolving requirements • Interest in AI trends and emerging technologiesTop Skills • AI Product Design / Claude Code / AI-assisted workflows • Vibe Coding experience • Independent problem-solving and collaboration • Product thinking and end-to-end design ownershipCandidate Requirements • Resume • Portfolio link (mandatory) • Availability to work PST hours Benefits:BCforward offers all eligible employees a comprehensive benefits package including, but not limited to major medical, HSA, dental, vision, employer-provided group life, voluntary life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, and 401k.About BCforward:Founded in 1998 on the idea that industry leaders needed a professional service, and workforce management expert, to fuel the development and execution of core business and technology strategies, BCforward is a Black-owned firm providing unique solutions supporting value capture and digital product delivery needs for organizations around the world.
