(Senior) Freelance Web Developer

What you will be doing • Building and maintaining high-performance, accessible websites and web applications. • Contributing to frontend, backend, API, and data model design and implementation. • Developing CMS-driven websites, including content modelling, localisation, and editorial workflows. • Implementing product features, backend functionality, and user interfaces. • Integrating with internal systems, third-party services, and external APIs. • Supporting SEO, performance, and accessibility best practices, including Core Web Vitals and WCAG 2.1 AA. • Assisting with deployment, hosting, testing, QA, and documentation. • Working independently, taking ownership of assigned tasks, and proactively solving problems. We need you to have • 5+ years of professional web development experience delivering production-ready websites and web applications. • Strong experience with React; Next.js strongly preferred. • Solid full-stack experience with TypeScript, REST/GraphQL APIs, authentication, state management, and database-backed applications. • Experience with headless CMS platforms, e.g. Strapi/Contentful, including localisation, editorial workflows, preview setups, and customisation. • Strong skills in HTML5, CSS, and modern styling approaches such as Tailwind CSS or CSS Modules. • Proficiency with Git/GitHub and collaborative development workflows. • Proven ability to optimise for performance, accessibility, and SEO. • Experience with deployment workflows, CI/CD, and cloud/hosting environments. • Familiarity with internationalisation/localisation approaches and regional content requirements. • Strong communication skills, good judgment, and the ability to work independently and proactively. • Comfort using AI-powered development tools is a plus.
