About the OpportunityBitcot is seeking a highly skilled AI Engineer with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure AI technologies to join a strategic digital transformation initiative supporting a leading, well-established healthcare enterprise in the United States.As an AI Engineer, you will design, develop, deploy, and optimize enterprise-grade AI and Generative AI solutions using Microsoft's AI ecosystem. You will collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, cloud architects, and business stakeholders to build secure, scalable, and production-ready AI applications that solve complex business challenges.This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI technologies including Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Services, and Azure Machine Learning within an enterprise environment.Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and deploy AI and Generative AI applications on Microsoft Azure.
• Build intelligent applications using Azure OpenAI Service, Azure AI Services, and Azure Machine Learning.
• Develop Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions using Azure AI Search and vector databases.
• Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) into enterprise applications.
• Develop prompt engineering strategies and optimize model performance.
• Build scalable REST APIs and AI microservices for production deployment.
• Fine-tune, evaluate, and monitor AI models to improve accuracy and reliability.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement MLOps pipelines for model deployment and lifecycle management.
• Work closely with product owners and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into AI solutions.
• Ensure AI applications comply with enterprise security, governance, and responsible AI practices.
• Optimize AI workloads for scalability, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Stay current with emerging AI technologies and recommend innovative solutions.Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in AI Engineering, Machine Learning Engineering, Software Engineering, or Data Science.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
• Experience building AI applications using Azure OpenAI Service and Azure AI Services.
• Strong knowledge of Azure Machine Learning.
• Experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI applications.
• Hands-on experience building Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions.
• Experience integrating AI capabilities into enterprise applications.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Experience developing REST APIs using FastAPI, Flask, or similar frameworks.
• Experience working with Git and modern software development practices.
• Understanding of prompt engineering techniques and AI model evaluation.
• Familiarity with vector databases and semantic search technologies.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles and cloud-native application development.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, or Microsoft Prompt Flow.
• Experience with Azure AI Search and vector search implementations.
• Experience with Azure Functions, Azure App Services, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Experience deploying AI models using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of MLOps tools such as MLflow and Azure Machine Learning pipelines.
• Experience with document intelligence, OCR, speech services, or computer vision.
• Familiarity with Databricks, Azure Data Factory, or Synapse Analytics.
• Experience developing AI Copilots or enterprise chatbots.
• Exposure to Responsible AI, AI governance, and model monitoring.
• Experience working within healthcare, life sciences, or other highly regulated industries is preferred.
