Senior QA Automation Engineer / QA Technical LeadPosition SummaryWe are seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer / QA Technical Lead with strong hands-on expertise in Selenium, TestNG, Pytest and modern test-automation practices.This position can be aligned to either a Senior QA Automation Engineer or QA Automation Lead, depending on the candidate's experience. The selected candidate will design and develop automation frameworks, create reliable automated test suites and help ensure the quality of web, API and backend applications.Lead-level candidates will also define testing strategy, mentor automation engineers, review automation code and coordinate testing activities across development, product and business teams.Key Responsibilities • Design, develop and maintain UI automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver. • Build automated test suites using TestNG, Pytest or similar testing frameworks. • Develop reusable test components using Java, Python or both. • Automate functional, regression, integration and end-to-end test scenarios. • Perform API testing using tools and libraries such as REST Assured, Postman, Requests or similar technologies. • Validate application data through SQL queries and database testing. • Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Azure DevOps. • Use Kiro or comparable AI-assisted development tools to help generate, review, debug and improve test automation code. • Analyze requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria to identify test scenarios. • Create test plans, test cases, test data and traceability documentation. • Identify, document and track defects through resolution. • Investigate failed automation tests and distinguish application defects from script or environment issues. • Improve test reliability by reducing flaky tests and maintaining stable test environments. • Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, release planning and defect-review meetings. • Work closely with developers, product owners and business analysts to improve overall software quality. • Produce testing status reports, quality metrics and release-readiness recommendations.QA Lead ResponsibilitiesCandidates considered for the QA Lead level will also be expected to: • Define the overall automation strategy, standards and framework architecture. • Lead and mentor QA automation engineers. • Assign testing activities and monitor team progress. • Review test plans, automation scripts and pull requests. • Estimate QA effort for projects, releases and user stories. • Define regression-test coverage and release-quality gates. • Coordinate testing across multiple applications, services and environments. • Communicate risks, blockers and quality concerns to technical and business leadership. • Establish automation best practices, coding standards and test-reporting processes. • Support hiring, onboarding and technical evaluation of QA team members.Required Qualifications • Five or more years of experience in quality assurance or software testing. • Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver. • Strong experience with TestNG, Pytest or both. • Proficiency in Java, Python or another automation programming language. • Experience designing or enhancing test-automation frameworks. • Experience automating web-based applications. • Experience with API testing and service-level validation. • Experience with SQL and database testing. • Understanding of Page Object Model, data-driven testing and reusable automation design. • Experience integrating tests with CI/CD pipelines. • Working knowledge of Git and source-control workflows. • Experience with defect-tracking and test-management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Zephyr or TestRail. • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills. • Ability to work independently and collaborate with distributed technical teams.Additional Qualifications for QA Lead Candidates • Eight or more years of QA or software-testing experience preferred. • Previous experience leading QA or automation teams. • Strong experience defining automation strategy and test architecture. • Experience managing testing across multiple releases or applications. • Ability to communicate testing status, risks and recommendations to management. • Experience mentoring engineers and conducting automation-code reviews.Preferred Qualifications • Experience with Kiro or another AI-assisted coding and testing tool. • Experience with cloud-based applications and AWS environments. • Experience testing microservices and distributed systems. • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes or containerized test environments. • Experience with performance-testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling or LoadRunner. • Experience with mobile automation using Appium. • Familiarity with behavior-driven development tools such as Cucumber. • Knowledge of security and accessibility testing. • Experience working in Agile or Scrum delivery teams.Ideal Candi
