Responsibilities Design and implement AI-powered capabilities within the MedicatOne platformIntegrate modern AI models and services into production workflowsDevelop systems that interact with structured application data and APIsEnsure AI features are reliable, performant, and secureWork with large datasets related to healthcare operationsDesign systems that leverage structured data effectivelyBuild logic that enables intelligent interpretation of operational dataCollaborate with engineering on data pipelines, schemas, and analytics frameworksIntegrate AI capabilities into existing SaaS architectureWork with backend engineers to ensure scalable system designOptimize performance of data-intensive AI workflowsContribute to platform-level architecture decisionsShip production-ready AI features quickly and iterativelyCollaborate closely with leadership on prioritization and implementationHelp establish best practices for AI development within the organization Skills 5+ years building production SaaS systemsDirect experience building and implementing AI/ML or LLM-based featuresStrong experience working with structured data and analytics systemsExperience working with healthcare data or healthcare SaaS environments, including familiarity with the regulatory, privacy, and compliance considerations that shape technical decisions (HIPAA, PHI handling, de-identification)Demonstrated ability to build and deploy systems end-to-endWorking knowledge of modern AI infrastructure and patterns, including LLM API integration (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar) in production environmentsRetrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG): designing retrieval pipelines, chunking strategies, and grounding LLM responses in real dataVector databases: embedding, indexing, and querying unstructured or semi-structured dataData modeling and SQLData pipelines and analytics workflows and working with large structured datasetsAPI design and backend servicesWorking with large, structured datasets Company Overview Banyan Software is an IT company that helps in acquiring, building, and growing software businesses.
