Software Engineer

Our client, an incredibly innovative AI startup, is seeking a Founding Engineer to build groundbreaking user simulation technology. This individual will tackle high-impact problems to construct systems that perfectly mirror human cognition, writing style, and memory. The ideal candidate is a deeply passionate builder who thrives in a fast-paced, flat-structured environment and is fascinated by the intersection of AI, neuroscience, and psychology. Role • Architect and scale a state-of-the-art memory and agent architecture. • Build the core platform that empowers humans to seamlessly interact with the agentic versions of themselves. • Rapidly iterate and release new software on a weekly basis alongside a highly collaborative team. Essential Skills • 3 to 10 years of experience shipping production-ready software. • Deep technical expertise in at least one of the following: Rust, Python, TypeScript, React, or RAG/VectorDBs. • Hands-on experience building AI agents equipped with tool-calling capabilities. • Proven track record of using LLMs (like Claude Code or Cursor) in all aspects of your daily development workflow. Beneficial Skills • A deep, obsessive passion for a specific niche, whether that is video games, music, sports, or something entirely unique. • Previous experience as a founder, or a strong desire to gain the skills to become one in the future. • Proficiency in Vim, Emacs, or equivalent tools.
