About the Role

Intro Do you want to work on a **Legal-Tech application** that functions like a **digital legal department** for e-commerce companies? Do you think about systems from the data model to the interface, enjoy conceptualizing technical solutions, and take responsibility for ensuring they are implemented that way in the end? Then you are exactly the right person as a **Senior Fullstack Developer (m/f/d) / Senior Web Developer PHP/Laravel (m/f/d)** at **Händlerbund**! With us, you will develop a **platform that digitally maps and automates legal processes**. From the creation of legal content to contract and audit processes, all the way to data protection and security issues. This includes interfaces and plugins through which our content reaches our members' shop systems, as well as integrations with partner systems. The goal is to transform complex legal requirements into reliable, understandable, and efficient digital workflows. In this role, you will take on the **technical leadership of projects** that we implement in small project teams: You will design solutions, take responsibility for implementation, guide other developers on the project, and keep all stakeholders updated on the status. You will implement smaller projects entirely on your own, while for larger ones, you will work in a team using **Laravel** and **Livewire** in the stack. Your Tasks - **Technical Conception:** Analysis of requirements, design of solution architecture, definition of data models and interfaces, and estimation of efforts for features and projects. - **Ownership of Implementation:** Responsibility for ensuring a project makes it from conception to go-live. Breaking down and prioritizing tasks, keeping an eye on progress, making technical decisions, and removing blockers. - **Guidance & Knowledge Transfer:** Professional leadership of other developers on the project through clear technical specifications, pairing, and code reviews in both the backend and frontend. Knowledge about architecture and decisions stays within the team and in documentation, not just with you. - **Reporting:** Regular, understandable reports on status, risks, and next steps to the Team Lead, Product Owner, and stakeholders. - **Fullstack Development:** Implementation with Laravel, Livewire, Alpine.js, Flux UI, and Tailwind CSS. Smaller projects independently from start to finish, larger ones in a project team. - **Partner Connections & Integrations:** Solution evaluation, implementation, and documentation of interfaces to partner and third-party systems. - **Architecture & Technology Evaluation:** Co-designing architecture, development standards, and tooling; evaluating new technologies, frameworks, and AI application possibilities with regard to their concrete benefit for the product and team. Your Profile **Technical** - **Several years of experience with PHP & Laravel:** Development of web applications across the entire stack, in the frontend ideally with Livewire, Alpine.js, Flux UI, and Tailwind CSS. - **Conception & Technical Leadership:** Experience in developing technical concepts and taking responsibility for their implementation, alone or as the technical lead of a project team. - **Code Reviews across the entire stack:** Practice in reviewing backend and frontend code and the ability to provide feedback in a way that helps others grow. - **Testing Experience:** Confident use of PHPUnit or Pest and experience with test strategies in larger codebases. For you, tests are part of the implementation, not rework. - **Databases & APIs:** Confident use of relational databases, data modeling, and API design. - **Agile Teamwork:** Experience in agile teams, ideally with Scrum, including close collaboration and continuous exchange. **Nice to Have, but not a must** - DevOps experience: Cloud systems, PaaS platforms, containers, CI/CD, or Linux server administration (e.g., DigitalOcean and Laravel Cloud) - Experience with shop systems and the development of plugins or apps for them (e.g., Shopify or JTL) - A feel for UX and experience in designing user-friendly interfaces - Experience with event-based architectures, queues, or asynchronous processing - Experience with the integration of LLM APIs into product features (prompting, evaluation, guardrails) **Personal** - **Ownership:** You feel responsible for the result of a project. From the first sketch to go-live and beyond, and not just for your own tickets. - **Systemic Thinking:** You see the effects of changes across component and team boundaries. - **Structured Communication:** You prepare the status of a project in an understandable way for technical and non-technical stakeholders, even when things don't go according to plan. - **Pragmatism:** You find the balance between a clean solution and pragmatic progress. - **Knowledge Transfer:** You enjoy passing on knowledge and making others on the team better, e.g., in reviews, pairings, and documentation. - **AI as a T
