As a Senior AI Engineer focused on applied data, you will make AI accelerators produce output that is correct, secure and adopted on real enterprise stacks. The role is fully remote from anywhere in Portugal, with optional access to the company's hubs. Occasional national or international travel may apply, estimated at 0–15%. PROJECT & CONTEXT You will design and deliver complex enterprise agentic AI solutions and set the standard for what "good" looks like in production: Enterprise Agentic Architecture: design and deploy complex agentic AI systems and orchestrate agents. Secure Integration & MCP: implement and integrate Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers that connect foundation models securely to enterprise data and internal tools. Security & Governance: apply fine-grained RBAC, identity propagation and deterministic policy enforcement across systems, so tools execute securely. Evaluation & Verification: encode correctness rules and safety guardrails so that generated output and agent actions can be trusted. Path to Delivery: deliver reviewable diffs, IaC and CI/CD for AI systems, and drive adoption across delivery teams. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR (Required) 7+ years of relevant experience at senior level Deep GenAI engineering: hands-on experience building agentic systems end to end, including agent orchestration frameworks, Model Context Protocol (MCP), complex function calling, structured outputs and evaluation systems Strong SQL and data modelling skills, so that AI agents work with enterprise data stores efficiently and accurately Real depth in cloud architectures Enterprise security fluency: identity propagation, fine-grained RBAC, IAM and deterministic policy enforcement in distributed and agentic systems Strong production software engineering in Python, testing, CI/CD, REST and Docker Languages: professional fluency in English (mandatory) Based in Portugal Compensation: €2,200 – €3,100/month net, depending on experience and seniority level.
