About the Role

Ironclad is the leading AI contracting platform that transforms agreements into assets. Contracts move faster, insights surface instantly, and agents push work forward, all with you in control. Whether you're buying or selling, Ironclad unifies the entire process on one intelligent platform, providing leaders with the visibility they need to stay one step ahead. We're consistently recognized as a leader in the industry: a Leader in the Forrester Wave and Gartner Magic Quadrant for Contract Lifecycle Management, a Fortune Great Place to Work, and one of Fast Company's Most Innovative Workplaces. Ironclad has also been named to Forbes' AI 50 and Business Insider's list of Companies to Bet Your Career On. We're backed by leading investors including Accel, Y Combinator, Sequoia, BOND, and Franklin Templeton. For more information, visit www.ironcladapp.com or follow us on LinkedIn. About The Role As a Demo Engineer on the internal tooling track, you will be the primary developer of The Forge — Ironclad's internal demo-engineering platform that lets Solution Engineers, Enterprise Architects, and AEs go from hours-per-demo to minutes by cloning golden environments, generating workflow assets, and applying vetted feature-flag presets from one governed, self-serve web app. You'll own The Forge as a full-fledged internal product: designing, building, shipping, and operating it end to end. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Technical Services within SETS (Solution Engineering & Technical Services), you'll partner closely with your Demo Engineering peers, the broader SETS field team, and Product and Engineering to ensure the platform (and the demo assets it produces) stay aligned with the GTM team's needs and Ironclad's evolving product. This is a hands-on builder role for someone who wants ownership of a real internal product, not a maintenance seat. What You Will Be Doing • Serve as the primary developer for The Forge, our internal demo-tooling platform — designing, building, deploying, and operating it as a production-grade internal product with minimal handholding. • Build and maintain the platform's core surfaces: the "Armory" tool hub, an Environment Builder (golden-environment cloning, deal-context intake, flag presets), a feature-flag reference, and guides/scripts. • Develop backend services and asynchronous build jobs that orchestrate environment creation against Ironclad's public API and internal tools, with recoverable failures, clear job state, and auditability. • Productize and unify AI demo builders and scripts into supported, reusable tooling — integrating LLM-powered features behind a clean, accessible interface so non-technical field users can leverage them without the command line or technical know-how, rather than relying on one-off utilities. • Own day-to-day operations: deployments, monitoring, structured logging, and first-line response for the platform, coordinating with engineering for bootstrapping and occasional consultation. • Design and build use-case- and industry-specific demo environments, assets, and scripts in support of the field. • Partner with Product and Engineering to track short- and long-term roadmaps, ensure product changes are reflected in demo assets and The Forge, and bring actionable field feedback back to them — including a "product readiness" lens so demo environments don't break on release. • Provide technical support to Solution Engineers and Enterprise Architects building specialized demos, and identify opportunities for automation and self-service. • Recommend engineering best practices and scale the platform as new tools are added. Key Skills & Qualifications • 2–5+ years building and shipping scalable web applications; direct experience running or owning an internal tool or product end-to-end is strongly preferred. • Strong full-stack development skills, especially JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js, plus modern frontend framework experience (React preferred). Python and other languages are a plus. • Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure — ideally GCP (Cloud Run, Cloud Run jobs, Cloud Tasks, Firestore/NoSQL, Secret Manager) or equivalent AWS/Azure services — and comfort deploying and operating services you build. • Solid experience working with APIs and integration technologies (REST, JSON/HTTP, webhooks, middleware), including authenticating to and orchestrating internal and public endpoints. • Experience designing async/job-based workflows, handling partial failures and recovery, and building for auditability and least-privilege access. • Familiarity with authentication and access control (SSO via Okta/Google, IAP, RBAC) for internal applications. • Experience building with or integrating gen-AI / LLM APIs into applications; familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g. Claud
