About the Role

AI is rewriting the rules of how enterprises operate, and Microsoft's Power Platform is where that transformation is happening fastest. Copilot Studio, intelligent automation, and AI-assisted development are not future-state concepts; they are live, production workloads that organizations need help delivering right now. At Kumo Partners, we are building the team to meet that moment. Founded in Chicago by long-time Microsoft consultants, Kumo Partners delivers business solutions across the Power Platform, Dynamics 365, Copilot, Azure, and Fabric. Our clients span healthcare, manufacturing, sports, and professional services. They come to us because we combine deep platform expertise with real delivery experience, and because we are small enough that every consultant has a direct impact on how we grow. We are looking for someone who is deeply technical on the Power Platform, with a strong background in Power Virtual Agents or Copilot Studio, and who truly understands how to secure and govern the platform at an enterprise level. Not someone who just builds agents, but someone who knows the infrastructure underneath: environment strategies, DLP policies, security roles, connector governance, and data architecture. You should be the kind of person who is always exploring what is next in the AI space, testing new capabilities before they hit GA, and bringing that knowledge back to the team and to clients. If you want to work at the intersection of hands-on AI delivery and platform strategy, inside a founder-led consultancy where your perspective shapes the practice, we would love to hear from you. What You'll Do: • Design, build, and deploy Copilot Studio agents (and legacy PVA solutions where clients still run them) that solve real business problems, from customer service and knowledge retrieval to field operations and internal process automation. • Architect conversational flows, topic hierarchies, generative AI orchestration, and plugin/connector integrations that connect agents to Dataverse, Dynamics 365, SharePoint, Azure, and third-party systems. • Lead discovery workshops and technical design sessions with client stakeholders to identify high-impact use cases for AI agents and intelligent automation. • Own the platform infrastructure conversation: advise clients on environment strategy, DLP policy design, security role configuration, connector governance, and data loss prevention, ensuring their Power Platform footprint is production-ready and secure. • Evaluate and recommend AI capabilities across the Microsoft stack, including Copilot Studio, Microsoft 365 Copilot extensibility, Azure AI Services, and AI Builder, matching the right tool to the right problem. • Stay relentlessly current on the Power Platform and AI roadmap. Test preview features, contribute to internal knowledge sharing, and be the person the team turns to when a new capability drops. • Support change management and adoption efforts by helping clients understand what AI can (and cannot) do, building confidence through demos, proofs of concept, and hands-on enablement. • Mentor associate and mid-level consultants on agent architecture, platform security, and delivery best practices. • Collaborate with Kumo leadership to identify new sales opportunities, contribute to proposals, and help shape the firm's Copilot and AI practice direction. Qualifications: • 5+ years of experience consulting on Microsoft Power Platform solutions (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Power BI). • 2+ years of hands-on experience building bots or agents using Power Virtual Agents and/or Copilot Studio, including topic design, entity configuration, authentication flows, and connector integration. • Strong understanding of Power Platform infrastructure and security: environment management, DLP policies, security roles, tenant-level governance, and managed environment capabilities. • Solid grasp of Dataverse data modeling, solution architecture, and application lifecycle management (ALM) including solution packaging, source control, and deployment pipelines. • Experience leading client-facing workshops, discovery sessions, or technical design reviews with business and IT stakeholders. • Comfort working across the broader Microsoft ecosystem: Dynamics 365, Azure, Microsoft 365, and related services. • A genuine curiosity about AI and emerging technology. You follow the roadmap, test preview features, read the blogs, attend the community calls. This is not just a job requirement; it is how you are wired. • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex platform and AI concepts for business audiences. • Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple client engagements within timeline and budget constraints. Bonus but Not Required: • Experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot extensibility (declarative agents, plugins, Graph connectors). • Familiarity with Azure AI Services (Azure OpenAI
