Founding Engineer

We're a 5-person startup building software for cemetery & public-records management: municipalities managing data for real families. Broad, hands-on IC role with real product and infra ownership. Stack: NestJS/TypeScript, PostgreSQL + PostGIS, MikroORM, Inngest · React + TanStack Query, MapLibre + PMTiles · React Native + Expo · AWS (ECS Fargate, RDS, S3, Bedrock, WAF) + Terraform · Grafana/Sentry · QGIS/GeoPackage geospatial. You: 8+ yrs production, full-stack TS, owned a Terraform/AWS stack (not just consumed one), strong relational DB fundamentals, comfortable with no playbook. Bonus: PostGIS, RN/Expo, RLS/multi-tenancy, LLM, B2B/B2G. We lean hard on AI tooling and expect you to: but the bar is human-reviewed, well-tested code; "the model said it worked" isn't a defence.
