Agentic AI Engineers x 8 openings Location: REMOTE from NYC Metro, Seattle WA, or SF Metro Salary: $165,000/year - $265,000/year Core technical requirements _ 5+ years backend / distributed systems / infrastructure_ _ 3+ years designing, building, and operating production-grade systems with reliability, performance, and observability requirements_ _ Strong system design fundamentals_ _ Proficiency in at least one modern backend language: Java, Go, Python, etc. - _prefer two _ Strong educational background will go a long way. In Canada, Waterloo / U of T is preferred for GTA roles - the Canadian hiring manager weights this heavily. Not a deal-breaker, but it will move a candidate up the board fast._ AI-specific requirements _ Hands-on with LLM APIs or agent frameworks, in production, not just experimentation_ _ Agent design patterns - ability to explain how agents are architected, not just describe using them_ _ Experience building agents and putting them into production_ _ Managing multiple agents in parallel - orchestration and coordination experience_ _ Model inference & performance optimization_ _ AI evaluation frameworks_ _ AI safety / guardrails / policy systems - especially destructive-action prevention (e.g. preventing actions that could wipe critical repositories), not just content filtering_ _ Vendor-agnostic mindset - not locked into a single cloud or model ecosystem_ Mindset & soft skills _ Can be self-directed and operate in ambiguity & fast pace - comfort with ambiguity is non-negotiable – this is a brand-new initiative and there will likely be pivots as they build this. This person must have the self-directed muscle._ Excellent communication skills - must, must-have. Internal teams are the client. Ability to build rapport is evaluated throughout the process. Stakeholder management is paramount.
