About the Role
About the OpportunityWe are looking for a highly motivated AI Product Engineering Intern to help design and develop an AI-powered platform using modern coding agents, large language models, prompt engineering, and multi-agent workflows. The intern will work on a real product—not a classroom exercise. The platform may include intelligent user onboarding, personalized recommendations, automated workflows, document analysis, agent-based task execution, dashboards, integrations, and human review. The ideal candidate is comfortable combining traditional software-engineering fundamentals with modern AI-assisted development tools such as:
• Claude Code
• OpenAI Codex
• ChatGPT and OpenAI APIs
• Claude APIs
• AI-assisted or "vibe coding" workflows
• Prompt and context engineering
• Multi-agent orchestration
• Retrieval-Augmented Generation
• Tool calling and workflow automationThis is not a prompt-only position. The intern must be able to understand, test, debug, secure, and improve the code generated by AI tools.
What You Will BuildYou will help develop an AI-enabled web platform that may include:
• Secure user registration and authentication
• User profiles and preference management
• AI-powered recommendations
• Document upload and intelligent analysis
• Personalized content generation
• Autonomous or semi-autonomous task execution
• Multi-agent workflows
• Human approval checkpoints
• Workflow dashboards
• Notifications and progress tracking
• Third-party API integrations
• Administrative controls
• Usage analytics and reporting
• Subscription or payment capabilities
• Mobile-responsive user experiences
Key ResponsibilitiesAI-Assisted Product Development
• Use Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, and other AI coding tools to design, build, debug, refactor, and document product features.
• Convert business ideas and user stories into technical specifications and working software.
• Use structured prompts, project instructions, context files, and coding standards to guide AI coding agents.
• Review AI-generated code for correctness, maintainability, security, and performance.
• Build rapid prototypes and convert successful prototypes into maintainable product features.Agentic and Multi-Agent Development
• Design agents with clearly defined roles, goals, tools, permissions, and outputs.
• Build multi-agent workflows in which specialized agents collaborate on complex tasks.
• Implement agent routing, delegation, handoffs, retries, memory, and escalation to human reviewers.
• Create agents for activities such as:
• User-intent analysis
• Document analysis
• Data extraction
• Recommendation generation
• Research
• Quality assurance
• Compliance review
• Content generation
• Workflow execution
• Final-output validation
• Prevent agents from duplicating work, entering uncontrolled loops, or producing unsupported results.Prompt and Context Engineering
• Write and test system prompts, agent instructions, tool descriptions, evaluation prompts, and structured-output schemas.
• Develop reusable prompt templates for different product workflows.
• Improve prompt reliability through examples, constraints, validation, and evaluation.
• Design context-management strategies that provide agents with the right information without exceeding context limits.
• Maintain prompt versions and document why changes were made.Full-Stack Development
• Develop user-facing interfaces using technologies such as React, Next.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Build backend APIs using Python, FastAPI, Django, Node.js, or similar technologies.
• Design database tables, relationships, queries, and data-access layers.
• Integrate AI models, third-party APIs, authentication services, email services, payment systems, and cloud platforms.
• Implement background jobs, queues, scheduled workflows, and notifications.
• Create responsive, accessible, and user-friendly product experiences.Required Qualifications
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Working knowledge of at least one programming language, preferably:
• Python
• JavaScript
• TypeScript
• Basic experience developing web applications or APIs.
• Understanding of REST APIs, JSON, databases, and client-server architecture.
• Familiarity with Git, GitHub, branches, commits, and pull requests.
• Experience using at least one AI coding assistant, such as Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or a comparable tool.
• Familiarity with large language models and prompt engineering.
• Ability to read, test, debug, and explain AI-generated code.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work independently while asking for help when necessary.
• Strong written communication and documentation skills.
• Willingness to learn new tools quickly and build through experimentation.
