About Redtail Redtail Studios is an AI-native mobile game studio. We built a proprietary AI engine that turns game ideas into playable mobile games, and we use it to make our own titles while opening it to a select group of invite-only creators. We are a small, venture-backed, fully remote team moving fast. The role You will sit on the front line between our engine and the people building with it. You will work directly with creators and our internal game teams, turn what they need into working features, and ship in days, not quarters. Part engineer, part product partner, part game developer. What you will do • Embed with creators and game teams to build, debug, and ship games on our engine • Prototype new engine capabilities (gameplay systems, asset pipelines, agent workflows) and push the best ones to production • Design and tune the prompts, agents, and evals that make generated games better and more reliable • Turn field feedback into a clear roadmap with our CTO • Build internal tools that make every new creator faster than the last What you bring • Hands-on experience building with LLM APIs or AI agents, through work, school, research, or side projects • Solid Python and/or TypeScript • Some exposure to a game or rendering stack (Unity, Godot, or web), or the drive to learn one fast • You enjoy talking to users as much as writing code • A bias to ship: you would rather demo something rough on Friday than polish a spec for a month Nice to have • A game you built and released (game jam, side project, or commercial) • Mobile development experience (iOS/Android) • Spanish (we work across the US, Mexico, and Spain) • A real love for games Location Remote, open to candidates based in New York State. Compensation $16.00 to $21.00 per hour, depending on experience and location within New York State.
