About ScoutScout is the AI-native operating system for schools.Our first product, Scout SIS, is a student information system (SIS). At its core, the SIS a database for schools to store student and staff data. Every school has an SIS, but it's one of the lowest NPS products in the history of software. Legacy players like PowerSchool are multibillion-dollar, rent-extracting companies that squeeze every dollar they can out of schools by locking them into long-term contracts for products that require significant hidden add-on fees to function properly. About the role:We're looking for high-agency full-stack engineers who want to own features end-to-end, from ideation to fleshing out requirements with customers they're responsible for to quickly shipping an MVP to iterating until it is robust and scalable. Skills: React & TypeScript Responsibilities: • Contribute to the technical vision and product direction as a core team member. • Take ownership of zero-to-one features for our web, mobile, and backend applications. • Sit in on sales calls and talk to our customers to deeply understand what we're building. • Own the relationship with customers, and ensure they get Scout setup correctly, and have all the features they need to be successful. • Do what it takes to build an early-stage startup. Everyone has to do everything. "That's not my job" isn't in our vocabulary. Requirements: • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience. • 3+ years of experience building production software in a team environment. • History of adopting cutting edge technology and software development tools. • Strong interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication.
