About the Role
A creative innovation team is looking for a freelance AI Engineer / Prompt Engineer to support a fast-moving AI department focused on building real-world AI systems for brands (not prototypes or demos). This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives at the intersection of engineering, generative AI, automation, and creative technology.
💲 PAY: $65–80/hr (DOE)📍 LOCATION: Remote 📅 DURATION: Short-term project support
What You'll Do:• Build AI-powered tools, workflows, and production-ready pipelines for internal and client-facing projects• Design and implement RAG systems, vector search architecture, and document processing workflows• Integrate and orchestrate LLMs, including Claude, GPT, Gemini, and related APIs• Work across the stack — APIs, backend systems, lightweight front-end interfaces, and automation tools• Translate creative concepts and strategic ideas into scalable technical solutions• Evaluate system architecture and optimize for scalability, reliability, and efficiency• Collaborate closely with creative, strategy, and innovation teams in a highly iterative environment
What We're Looking For:• Strong engineering foundation in Python, JavaScript, APIs, and cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure)• Hands-on experience with RAG pipelines, embeddings, and vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, or Chroma• Experience with agent frameworks including LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, or similar tools• Proven ability to deploy AI systems that support real production usage and scale• Comfortable with AI-assisted development / "vibe coding," while understanding the underlying architecture and tradeoffs• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with non-technical creative stakeholders
