Our challengeWe are looking for an AI Prompt Engineer to drive AI-powered delivery transformation across our engineering teams. In this role, you will collaborate with Architects, Business Analysts, Developers, and QA Engineers to embed AI tools into the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), improve productivity, and deliver measurable gains in delivery efficiency.This is a hands-on role focused on prompt engineering, AI adoption, and engineering productivity optimization using tools such as GitHub Copilot and Microsoft Copilot. Additional Information*The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Pittsburgh PA/ Dallas TX is $115k - $120k/year & benefits (see below). The RoleResponsibilities: • Measurable improvement in overall delivery velocity (20–40% uplift) • 80%+ adoption of AI tools across engineering teams • Faster development cycles through AI-assisted coding • Improved code quality and more effective code reviews • Faster PR (Pull Request) review-to-merge times • Reduced story cycle time and faster backlog refinement • Increased test coverage and earlier defect detection • Reduced defect leakage to UAT and productionDesign and develop high-quality prompts for: • User story creation and backlog refinement • Gherkin acceptance criteria generation • Test case and automation script creation • Code generation and refactoring • Build and maintain a centralized prompt library for engineering teams • Partner with cross-functional teams (Architecture, BSA, Development, QA) to integrate AI into daily workflows • Enable AI usage across Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, backlog grooming, PI planning) • Drive adoption and consistent usage of AI tools across teams • Define, track, and report baseline metrics and KPIs, including:Story cycle time; Defect leakage; Test coverage • PR review-to-merge time • Analyze performance and continuously optimize prompts and workflows • Conduct training sessions, workshops, and hands-on enablement • Support teams with AI-assisted development, testing, and documentationRequirements: • 3–8+ years of experience in software engineering, QA, or business analysis • Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot) • Strong understanding of prompt engineering for LLMs • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments • Familiarity with: BDD tools (Cucumber, Gherkin); Unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito or similar); CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.) • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills Preferred, but not required: • Experience driving AI adoption or developer productivity initiatives • Exposure to tools like SonarQube or similar code quality platforms • Understanding of DevSecOps and test automation practices • Experience in large-scale enterprise environments We offer: • A highly competitive compensation and benefits package. • A multinational organization with 60 offices in 20 countries and the possibility to work abroad. • 10 days of paid annual leave (plus sick leave and national holidays). • Maternity & paternity leave plans. • A comprehensive insurance plan including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and long-/short-term disability (plans vary by region). • Retirement savings plans. • A higher education certification policy. • Commuter benefits (varies by region). • Extensive training opportunities, focused on skills, substantive knowledge, and personal development. • On-demand Udemy for Business for all Synechron employees with free access to more than 5000 curated courses. • Coaching opportunities with experienced colleagues from our Financial Innovation Labs (FinLabs) and Center of Excellences (CoE) groups. • Cutting edge projects at the world's leading tier-one banks, financial institutions and insurance firms. • A flat and approachable organization. • A truly diverse, fun-loving, and globa
