Founding AI Platform EngineerFullstack Our client is building a system where AI can reason over complex data — but none of that works without the platform underneath it.They're hiring a Founding AI Platform Engineer to build the infrastructure that keeps everything fast, reliable, and scalable — for both humans and AI agents.This is the role that makes sure the entire team can build, test, debug, and ship AI systems without friction.What you'll do • Own the developer platform for engineers and AI agents — setup, environments, debugging, logs, traces • Build systems for AI-assisted development — execution, state tracking, output review, failure diagnosis • Design and run cloud workflows for ingestion, benchmarking, evaluation, and long-running jobs • Co-own the data platform — performance, reliability, access patterns, and deployment • Build evaluation + benchmarking infrastructure — reproducible runs, scoring, comparisons • Turn messy prototypes into repeatable, stable internal systems • Set the standard for engineering quality — testing, CI/CD, deployments, observability • Ship internal tools, APIs, dashboards, and demos quickly to support the team What they want • Strong instincts for developer platforms and internal tooling • Ability to turn fast-moving work into clean, reusable systems • High standards for code quality, testing, and reliability • Understanding of AI-assisted workflows (where they work, where they don't) • Comfortable owning both deep infrastructure and lightweight frontend tools • You make teams faster by building the right foundations — not adding process Nice to have • Experience with cloud, containers, orchestration, and data systems • Familiarity with AI tooling, agents, or evaluation frameworks • Experience building internal tools (APIs, dashboards, dev tooling) • Exposure to high-stakes data systems where reliability matters Why this role • Own the platform from day one — everything runs through what you build • Direct impact on how fast the team can move • Work across infra, product, AI, and data in one role What it's not • Not just frontend • Not just infrastructure • Not a research role • Not management
