Founding Software Engineer

Beam is building the fastest cloud runtime for AI. Our serverless runtime launches GPU-backed containers in under one second, powering apps that scale to millions of users. Ambitious startups and Fortune 100 companies use Beam to host custom ML models and run LLM-generated code in secure sandboxes. Beam powers millions of requests a day for hundreds of companies using us in production. We're a small team, but we ship quickly and work collaboratively. What you'll work on • Building new features the span our stack, from the Go/Python backend to frontend, and our SDKs • Making smooth user experiences in our React/Next.js/Typescript dashboard • Expanding our usage-based billing system that handles millions of requests per day • Developing internal tools for managing thousands of customers Your experience • Full-stack software engineering experience, ideally with Python and Next.js + React + Typescript • Previous experience shipping a product from 0 → 1 • Enthusiasm for developer tools, cloud native technologies, and open source software Who you are • High-agency: you can own projects end-to-end and make decisions with imperfect information • Adaptable, curious, and able to quickly understand unfamiliar concepts or domains • Excited to work 5 days a week in our New York office (or are open to relocating) Benefits You'll have a high degree of ownership in your work, and you will ship products that impact millions of developers worldwide.
