Job Summary:The Jr Financial Systems Analyst starts on solid accounting ground and grows into the future of finance. Best Lawyers is a tech-forward, AI-first organization where teams build their own tools and automations using modern AI-assisted development—and Finance is bringing that builder culture to its core. This role supports the day-to-day accuracy of Finance—reconciliations, close, reporting, and data validation—while learning, on the job, how to build the automated and AI-assisted systems that are reshaping how finance works.
This is the precision of accounting paired with a front-row education in building, inside an environment moving away from manual spreadsheets and toward continuous accounting. It's a rare seat for a detail-obsessed, early-career analyst who is deeply curious about AI and eager to learn. Reporting to the Business Systems Analyst and working collaboratively across teams, this fast-paced position carries strong growth potential with exceptional performance.

Duties/Responsibilities:
• Supports month-end close, reconciliations, reporting, and day-to-day accounting accuracy.
• Verifies and validates the outputs of automated finance systems—the check that keeps every build correct and trustworthy.
• Assists in financial planning, budgeting, and cash flow projections.
• Helps build and maintain KPI reports and operational dashboards, learning AI-assisted ("vibe coding") tools on the job.
• Creates and analyzes reports to answer questions, identify issues, and support the organization's operational and growth strategies.
• Assists with audits.
• Helps migrate manual, spreadsheet-based tasks toward automated, continuously updated processes.
• Collaborates with appropriate staff to gather input and feedback concerning system needs.
• Maintains or assists with maintenance of accounting information systems.
• Continuously develops new skills with AI tools and techniques.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Strong curiosity about AI and a genuine eagerness to learn and grow—you want to build, not just record.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; precise and methodical.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; advanced in Excel.
• Exposure to PowerQuery, Power BI, Tableau, and/or SQL preferred, but not required.
• Experience with QuickBooks or related accounting software a plus.
• Ability to present financial information clearly.Note: AI-assisted ("vibe coding") skills are not required—we will teach them. Curiosity, precision, and logical thinking matter most.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• One to three years of professional experience as an analyst, accountant, or in a related field; relevant internship and contract experience counts.
