Python/LLM Financial Modeling Engineer

This role focuses on financial modeling and data science development, working in a collaborative, modern development environment. Key Responsibilities - Track and manage project work using JIRA - Commit code to git repositories following version control best practices - Test and validate code in lower environments prior to production deployment - Provide technical support to non-technical users in production environments - Collaborate through pair programming sessions with team members and leverage large language models (LLMs, GenAI) for development - Engage in self-directed learning by reviewing and studying internal documentation and materials - Develop and maintain data science applications with emphasis on financial modeling Required Qualifications - Proficiency with JIRA, Git, and modern development workflows - Experience testing code across multiple environments - Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders - Programming Languages: Proficiency in SAS, R, and Python Preferred Qualifications - Familiarity with financial modeling concepts and applications - Background in statistics or quantitative analysis - Experience with data science development tools and frameworks - GenAI Experience: Knowledge of agentic engineering and/or context engineering principles - Experience working with GitHub Copilot in Visual Studio Code or similar AI-assisted development tools - Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with and leverage LLMs for software development
