We've partnered with a startup rebuilding the $280B foundation of the insurance industry with applied AI — an AI-native TPA for P&C claims — to find their Forward Deployed Engineer. 💰 Compensation & Perks• Salary: $150k – $230k base + top-quartile equity

The team comes from Harvard, Berkeley, Oxford, with engineers from DRW, Optiver, AWS, Palantir, AI researchers from Oxford/Cambridge labs publishing at ICML, ICCV, NeurIPS, and multiple ICPC and Olympiad winners. 🎯 Why This Role ExistsA highly agentic, client-facing engineering role at the intersection of deep technical work and senior customer relationships. You'll write code, deploy AI systems into production, and own client outcomes end-to-end. ⚙️ What You'll Do• Deploy multi-modal, agentic AI systems into production with major business impact.
• Own client deployments end-to-end — from scoping through go-live, acting as the primary point of contact for senior client stakeholders.
• Build and manage client relationships — understand challenges, align priorities, become the trusted partner executives rely on.
• Design, build, and evolve AI agents — prompt engineering, model integration, blitz prototyping with AI-assisted coding tools.
• Scope and develop new features that let customers scale while consistently improving claims results.
• Integrate the product into client environments — hands-on with customer tech teams on APIs and systems.
• Capture best practices in internal playbooks to scale Forward Deployed Engineering. ✅ Must-have qualifications• Strong technical foundation and track record of owning projects end-to-end at an early-stage, VC-backed startup.
• Customer-facing experience — comfortable interfacing directly with clients and writing code on the fly.
• Excellent communication — can translate between business and engineering audiences.
