Sr AI / Gen AI Engineer Location :: Remote with Travel Duration :: Long Term Job Description: We are looking for a hands-on AI Engineer to build agentic AI solutions on Google Cloud, with strong focus on OCR, document processing, structured data extraction, and vector-based retrieval systems (RAG). Key Responsibilities Build AI solutions using Vertex AI and Gemini Design OCR and document extraction pipelines using Google Document AI Implement RAG architectures with Vector Databases Build and manage embeddings, indexing, and retrieval pipelines Develop agentic workflows (multi-step reasoning, tool integrations) Build backend APIs using Python (FastAPI) Deploy services on Cloud Run Work with Google Cloud Storage and BigQuery Ensure performance, scalability, and cost optimization Required Skills (Must-Have) Strong experience with LLMs / Generative AI (Gemini preferred) Hands-on with Vector Databases Experience with Vertex AI Vector Search / Pinecone / Weaviate / similar Experience building RAG pipelines end-to-end Hands-on with OCR / Document AI / document extraction Strong Python + FastAPI development experience Experience working on Google Cloud Platform-native services Nice to Have Multi-modal AI (text + image understanding) Prompt engineering, evaluation, and tuning Event-driven architectures using Cloud Functions What We're Looking For Strong focus on production-grade AI systems (not just demos) Deep understanding of retrieval + embeddings + chunking strategies Ability to design scalable, Google Cloud Platform-native architectures end-to-end Best Regards Abdul Samad
