About the Role
SVP EngineeringRemote (US Preferred) | High-Growth Enterprise Software Company
We are partnering with a rapidly growing enterprise software organisation seeking a VP Engineering to lead and scale a globally distributed engineering function.
Reporting directly to the Chief Product & Technology Officer, you will be responsible for engineering execution, organisational design, delivery predictability, platform strategy, and leadership development across a complex, cloud-native product environment.

Responsibilities
• Lead a global engineering organisation spanning multiple geographies and time zones.
• Partner closely with Product leadership to translate strategic roadmaps into predictable, measurable delivery outcomes.
• Establish and optimise engineering operating models, delivery frameworks, planning processes, and performance metrics.
• Drive adoption of AI-enabled software development practices across the engineering lifecycle.
• Define and evolve the technical vision for a highly scalable, secure, enterprise-grade platform.
• Build and develop engineering leadership teams, succession plans, and management structures.
• Manage a blended workforce including full-time employees, contractors, offshore teams, and strategic partners.
• Communicate engineering priorities, delivery commitments, and technical risks to executive leadership and board stakeholders.
Requirements
• 15+ years of software engineering experience with 10+ years leading engineering organisations.
• Experience managing managers and scaling teams of 50-100+ engineers.
• Demonstrated success improving delivery predictability, engineering effectiveness, and operational maturity.
• Experience leading globally distributed engineering teams across multiple regions and time zones.
• Strong background in large-scale cloud platforms, distributed systems, and enterprise software architecture.
• Experience implementing AI-driven engineering practices and modern software delivery methodologies.
• Track record building leadership teams and organisational structures within high-growth technology businesses.
• Comfortable operating in regulated, security-conscious, or compliance-driven environments.
Preferred Experience
• Large-scale data platform or analytics infrastructure experience.
• Experience within healthcare, life sciences, financial services, defence, or other highly regulated sectors.
• Exposure to modern AI platforms, developer tooling, or enterprise SaaS environments.
• Experience supporting petabyte-scale data processing environments.
