Relevate Health is excited to launch our 2026 Summer Internship Program, an immersive, hands-on experience designed for students eager to gain real-world experience in healthcare marketing, data, technology, and business operations. This is an 8-week paid internship program beginning June 1, 2026, and interns must be available to participate for the full duration of the program.

The AI Development Intern will support the technology team in exploring, building, and implementing cutting-edge AI solutions. This role provides hands-on experience with modern AI tools and platforms, contributing to real-world projects while learning how AI integrates into product development and business operations.
Key Responsibilities & Projects
• Build and experiment with AI-powered applications using modern LLM platforms (Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT)
• Develop and test AI agents for automating workflows and solving complex business problems
• Use AI-assisted development tools like Cursor to write, debug, and optimize code
• Research and evaluate emerging AI tools, frameworks, and best practices to share with the team
• Document AI implementations, prompt engineering strategies, and technical learnings
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and other teams to identify AI use cases
• Contribute to proof-of-concept projects and rapid prototyping initiatives
• Deliver a final project or presentation demonstrating an AI solution developed during the internship

How The Intern Will Support The Team
The AI Development Intern will work closely with developers and technical leads on day-to-day AI experimentation and implementation projects. You'll participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and team discussions while having dedicated time to explore new AI technologies and contribute fresh perspectives on how we can leverage these tools more effectively.
Expected Outcomes by End of Internship
• Gain hands-on experience building AI applications and working with agentic workflows
• Complete a capstone project focused on developing an AI solution for a real business challenge
• Develop foundational skills in prompt engineering, AI tool integration, and modern development practices
• Understand how AI technologies function within a production environment and contribute to business value
• Build a portfolio of AI projects that demonstrate practical skills to future employers
Preferred Academic Focus: Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical field.
Required
• Genuine passion for AI and demonstrated curiosity about AI developments
• Hands-on experience using AI tools such as Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT, Cursor, or similar platforms
• Basic understanding of AI agents and agentic workflows
• Fundamental programming skills in Python, JavaScript, or similar languages
• Strong problem-solving abilities and willingness to experiment
• Self-motivated learner who can work both independently and collaboratively
Preferred
• Personal projects demonstrating AI tool usage or AI application development
• Familiarity with prompt and/or context engineering techniques
• Exposure to AI frameworks (Agents SDK, CrewAI, or other agentic swarms)
• Understanding of APIs and version control (Git/GitHub)
• Knowledge of vector databases, embeddings, or RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)
• Active participation in AI communities, hackathons, or online courses
Eligibility Requirements
• Current undergraduate student
