About the Role
Scion Technology has been engaged to conduct a search for an experienced Agentic Engineer for our client, a pioneering insurtech company! This is a full-time, direct hire position offering a 100% REMOTE schedule.
POSITION OVERVIEWCollaborate closely with founders and insurance industry professionals to architect and develop scalable backend systems and AI workflows. Take ownership of key product modules, refining AI automation features to enhance operational efficiencies. Contribute directly to designing, testing, and deploying agentic AI solutions such as Claude, leveraging Python, AWS, and LLM technologies.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Participate in building RESTful APIs, database architectures (PostgreSQL/MySQL), and implement CI/CD pipelines for reliable deployment.
• Engage with real users in iterative development to ensure the platform's functionality aligns with operational needs.
• Establish engineering standards and contribute to long-term technical strategy, with opportunities for leadership growth.
QUALIFICATIONS
• 3+ years of hands-on, production-level software engineering experience, ideally within startup or early-stage environments.
• Deep expertise in building agentic AI systems and large language models (LLMs), with proven experience deploying these in production.
• Strong backend development skills, including scalable SaaS architecture.
• Proficiency in Python, REST API development, cloud platforms (AWS preferred), and containerization technologies like Docker or Kubernetes.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITSThis full-time position offers an annual base salary range of $160-200k, commensurate with experience.
