Who We're Looking For Veteran Benefits Guide is seeking an innovative and technically skilled Prompt Engineer II to design, develop, and optimize AI-powered solutions that improve business operations, employee productivity, and customer experiences. In this role, you will work closely with business stakeholders, product managers, and engineering teams to identify opportunities for AI adoption and build intelligent solutions using large language models, generative AI technologies, and emerging AI tools. This is a hands-on role that blends prompt engineering, AI workflow development, business analysis, experimentation, and technical implementation. What You'll Do AI Solution Design and Development • Design, test, and optimize prompts for large language models and generative AI applications. • Develop AI-powered workflows, assistants, agents, and automation solutions that support business goals. • Translate business requirements into effective AI solutions and prompt frameworks. • Improve AI output quality, accuracy, consistency, and reliability. • Build and maintain reusable prompt libraries, templates, and documentation. • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate AI capabilities into existing applications and systems. AI Workflow and Agent Development • Design, build, and maintain AI-powered agents and workflow automations that support business operations. • Integrate AI solutions with internal systems, APIs, knowledge repositories, and business applications. • Develop multi-step AI workflows that automate tasks, improve efficiency, and enhance user experiences. • Evaluate and optimize agent performance, reliability, and business impact. • Identify opportunities for AI-driven automation and process improvement. AI Optimization and Evaluation • Conduct testing and experimentation to improve prompt performance and model outcomes. • Develop evaluation frameworks, benchmarks, and success metrics for AI solutions. • Analyze AI outputs and identify opportunities to improve effectiveness and reduce inaccuracies. • Monitor AI performance and recommend enhancements based on business needs and user feedback. • Stay current on emerging AI technologies, models, tools, and industry best practices. Business Collaboration and Innovation • Partner with stakeholders to identify AI-driven process improvements. • Facilitate discovery sessions to understand business needs and operational challenges. • Provide recommendations on AI use cases, automation opportunities, and implementation strategies. • Assist with AI governance, risk management, and responsible AI practices. • Support change management, user adoption, and AI training initiatives. Documentation and Knowledge Management • Create and maintain prompt documentation, testing results, implementation guides, and best practices. • Document AI workflows, business requirements, and solution designs. • Share knowledge and educate team members on AI capabilities and emerging trends. • Support the development of standards and processes for AI usage across the organization. What We're Looking For • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in AI, generative AI, prompt engineering, AI solution development, or a related role. • Demonstrated experience creating, testing, and optimizing prompts for large language models. • Experience designing and optimizing AI-powered workflows, agents, and multi-step automations. • Experience developing agent-based solutions for reasoning, task execution, data retrieval, and workflow automation. • Hands-on experience with
