About the Role

Team Lead — Application DevelopmentLocation: RemoteDuration: Permanent THE OPPORTUNITYThis isn't your typical "lead developer" role. We're looking for someone who has genuinely transformed how they build software — a practitioner who lives and breathes AI-assisted development and is excited to bring that energy to an entire team. You'll join an elite international law firm's Enterprise Platform Group, leading a talented application development team and serving as the lead architect on high-impact custom software projects. This is a rare seat at the table: you'll set the technical direction, champion modern AI-powered development culture, and ship meaningful work that touches thousands of professionals globally. If you've moved beyond treating Copilot as a novelty and you genuinely architect solutions using AI-assisted workflows — and you want to teach and scale that mindset — keep reading. What makes this role differentThe firm has invested in a modern AI toolchain and wants a leader who will push it forward — not catch up to it. The .NET/Angular stack is well covered by a solid team. Your job is to elevate the whole group's craft through intelligent, AI-augmented development practices. WHAT YOU'LL DO • Champion and lead the adoption of AI-powered development workflows across the team — from vibe coding and prompt-driven prototyping to AI-assisted refactoring, testing, and documentation generation. • Serve as lead architect on key custom application projects, guiding technical design, code reviews, and solution architecture decisions. • Mentor and elevate the team, establishing best practices for responsible, ethical, and high-quality use of AI tools in a professional enterprise environment. • Drive day-to-day team rhythm: task assignment, progress visibility, blocker removal, and keeping delivery on track. • Own all phases of the SDLC — from requirements and design through QA, release, and maintenance — and ensure the team executes with consistency. • Evaluate and introduce emerging tools and frameworks, especially in the AI/automation space, keeping the team ahead of the curve. • Collaborate directly with business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into clean, well-architected solutions. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORCore Experience • 3+ years leading development teams with a track record of raising the bar technically and culturally. • 5+ years of hands-on software development across the full SDLC in OOP languages — whether that's C#, Python, TypeScript, Java, or similar. • Proven, genuine experience integrating AI coding assistants into real professional workflows (not just "I've tried GitHub Copilot"). • Strong communication skills — you can translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders effortlessly. • Experience with Agile methodologies and modern DevOps practices (Azure DevOps / TFS a plus). Technical Depth (bring some of these, not necessarily all) • Familiarity with the .NET ecosystem (C#, ASP.NET, Web API) — you don't need to be the deepest expert, but you can credibly lead a team that is. • Front-end experience with Angular, TypeScript, or modern JavaScript frameworks. • Solid SQL Server skills: stored procedures, query optimization, schema design. • Cloud-native experience — Azure services, containerization with Kubernetes, or similar. • Exposure to full-text search (Elasticsearch, Apache Solr) or data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake). • Scripting proficiency in PowerShell, Python, or similar for automation and tooling. AI Tooling FluencyYou should be actively using some combination of these tools — or their equivalents — and have opinions about them: • Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Tabnine, or Sourcegraph Cody for AI-assisted coding • ChatGPT / Claude / similar for documentation, refactoring, and workflow acceleration • Vibe coding approaches for rapid prototyping and ideation • AI-driven UI/UX tools (UXPilot, Figma AI, or similar) — a plus • Databricks Assistant, Snowflake Copilot, or other data-layer AI tools — a plus WHY THIS ROLE💵 $195K–$210K base salary + performance bonus🌎 Fully remote — work from anywhere🏆 Exceptional benefits package🚀 Real authority to modernize how a world-class firm builds software🤝 Collaborative, low-ego team that values initiative and craft
